We are pleased to consider gardens both in London and within an hour and a half’s drive from central London.
What we need
In the first instance, please send us rough dimensions of your garden, photographs, full address and a short brief of what is wanted.
If we are able to help you, we will let you know and Rosemary will try to visit your garden and discuss the service with you.
Visit with students
Thereafter and on a specific date, we will visit with our students and our surveying tutor, take all dimensions and then return to the School to draw up a survey and begin work on garden layout and planting plans. We ask you to provide tea/coffee for the students.
The work to produced plans usually takes the students about five weeks and they will prepare:
- a garden layout plan
- a planting plan
- a sheet of visuals
Once these are handed in and marked, we ask you to visit the School to look at the plans and decide which you might want copied – there are about 16 students and each will draw up work, but we usually suggest you take away about 3 different plans to study at home.
For this service we charge a flat fee of £150 .00 to be paid to the School after the garden is surveyed.
It is quite a good deal as you have the chance to look at about 16 different plans and choose 3 to study at home.
We also occasionally send garden details to our students, particularly gardens with interesting aspects. Before we can do this though, again, we would need full details of the location, size, written descriptions of layout, current planting and photographs.
