A graduate of EGS from 2010, B trained first as a PwC chartered accountant before her love of gardens took over. After buying a house with a walled garden in Surrey, she studied Gardening for Beginners, then the year-long Garden Design Diploma, and stayed on for what has since become the Good Gardening Diploma. Her Surrey garden featured in The English Garden magazine and other publications, and opened through the National Garden Scheme from 2016 until the pandemic.

Since 2012, B has run her own successful practice, BB Garden Design, working on projects from London terraces to large country gardens across Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire. In 2020 she moved to West Sussex, where she is now creating a new garden at her home near Petworth. B has worked alongside Rosemary Alexander at The English Gardening School since January 2025 and took over as Principal in July 2026. She leads the school alongside her role as Course Director of the One Year Good Gardening Diploma, combining creativity with practical expertise to deliver a comprehensive and inspiring education.
