Join us for a two day Introduction to SketchUp where you will learn the basic skills needed for designing on the computer. Taught by John Brooks, a London-based garden designer with over 20 years of experience and recognised as the UK’s go-to expert on using SketchUp for professional garden design who will be assisted by Catriona Rowbotham, the Course Director for our Essential Garden Design Diploma.

Course outline:
- Day 1 – Introduction to SketchUp and what can be achieved using the software, template setup, interface & navigation; drawing basics; 3D modelling, groups/components/tags, 3D Warehouse.
- Day 2 – Working with surveys, extensions and plugins, planting plans, including an introduction to PLANT25, presentations using Layout.

This course will be taught from National Army Museum in Chelsea (steps away from the Chelsea Physic Garden). Maximum ten students per class.
