Now in its 6th year, this course is aimed at designers and advanced gardeners

This course runs Jan/Feb/Mar. Three days a week at the school and at least 2 days homework.  A very intensive course for people who want to be professional garden designers.  With workshops led by well known designers who join the regular team, it covers all you need to know in this diverse subject, including TWO real design projects and CAD tuition.  On this unique and demanding course, you will be guided through each stage of the design process, from surveying a site to drawing up layout and planting plans, visits and introductions to trade nurseries, specification and costing.  Hand drawn plans and computer skills are often the key to securing a client, whilst an understanding of the grid and a thorough knowledge of plants, where and how they grow is essential to creating a good garden.

This intensive course appeals to international students and those who have limited time to study.

Prospective students are advised to attend an information session which explains the work involved and the required level of commitment. Information sessions are being held regularly but please send an email to book and await our confirmation.
