BOOKING NOW A new slant on one of our most popular courses with the opportunity to work in a real garden, led by gardening columnists and lecturers Steve Bradley and Rosemary Alexander

Do you have a potentially good garden but do not know where to begin?

April 2017.  This 4 day course held in the historic Chelsea Physic Garden covers all you need to know to begin caring for your garden.  Understand your soil, choosing and buying new plants, common pests and diseases, growing new plants from seed and from cuttings, growing food, pruning existing climbers, shrubs and trees – how, when and why – weeds and their control, mulching and composting are all explained and demonstrated.

The 3rd day will be spent gaining practical experience in Rosemary Alexander’s  much praised garden near Petersfield where she and Steve will give participants a chance to prune, plant and sow seeds and regular maintenance tasks will be discussed.  A light sandwich lunch will be provided daily.
